You could get gonorrhea from oral sex, but not having symptoms for a year would be unusual.
You can get something called NGU, which is any infection in the urethra not caused by gonorrhea, from oral sex. It can be caused by normal mouth bacteria, adenovirus (causes upper respiratory infections), strep, etc. If your current partner has been sick, and gave you oral sex, you can get that germ in your urethra.

If they haven't checked your urine for white blood cells, ask for that. If you haven't had STD testing done, you should get that done, too. Since blood in your urine with no bacteria can indicate other, some serious, things, you should ask for a referral to a urologist.
In the meantime, increase your water intake and decrease your caffeine and alcohol intake. Both of those can be very irritating to your bladder.
