Sex Encounter - STD

Hello everyone,

2 days ago I had protected oral and vaginal sex with a sex worker - what are the STD risks here?

At the brothel they offer a 'diamond service' - which is for unprotected sex. So I'm getting worried about my encounter as some of the girls that work there most likely have unprotected sex with some clients.

I was nervous about the STDs so whilst penetrating her from behind I kept gently pulling the condom back with my fingers to ensure the condom was covering the entire length of my penis. I was worried about her vaginal fluids getting into the condom. I also didn't put my penis fully inside her for the same reason - what are the STD risks here?

Before I ejaculated, I pulled out of her vagina and removed the condom with my fingers so I could ejaculate on her body - what are the STD risks here?

With both oral and vaginal sex - I did not see any break in the condom.

Are there ANY STD risks with my encounter?

I feel extremely guilty about this as I have a girlfriend of 2+ years. I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex with my girlfriend on the same day. Is she at risk of any STD? If I did catch an STD from the sex worker, would my girlfriend have contracted anything from me so soon - or does the STD need time to develop?

I am feeling a slight sensation around my penis area, and I'm noticing more itching in my pubic region. Is this genital anxiety from my guilt?

Please help alleviate some of my concerns.

Well done for using protection. This protects you against chlamydia, gonorrhoea and HIV. There are some risks associated with your encounter but by waring a condom I would not worry about these and I will explain why!

The only risks would be syphilis and herpes (both of which will not transmit if there is no sore. Being a sex worker she SHOULD have regular check ups and keep and eye on her self. If she has anything its bad for business. Plus Chancres, the sore, are quite easy to spot). The sore will need to be outside the area of the condom and rub quite vigorously on your uncovered skin. Those areas are usually pretty easy to see as well.

HPV is also a risk. I dont believe it is a huge risk due to the condom use but im sure someone will correct me on that!

Remember guilt does not mean risk. You made a mistake. What you do with that is your call but it doesnt change the low risk you had.

Try to relax. Anxiety can cause all sorts of things. The 3 "LOW risk" stis I mentioned wouildnt cause symptoms so quick and wouldnt cause those symptoms anyway.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my concerns - I feel at ease already.

I did not see a sore and I made sure my pubic region did not touch her genital area as I penetrated her.

My only concern at the moment is that the brothel offers unprotected sex and my mind is playing on that.

I’ve read a lot that I would have known if the condom broke as I was penetrating her - so that makes me feel a little less anxious, as I certainly didn’t notice any breakage.

I guess I already have HPV as my girlfriend has it? I certainly have one type of herpes already - as I frequently get cold sores on my lip.

So, is it fair to say I’m LOW risk with my encounter and I should seek mental health advice around my motivations for having sex with a sex worker whilst in a loving relationship?

Is it safe to continue unprotected sex with my partner?

I will take a full STD test in a month or so.

Thank you!
You were always low risk to no risk. If someone decides to use the "diamond service" then thats their issues. Luckily you did not so whatever she may have, you do not as you used protection. When condoms break you know as the whole side slits down.

Personally, I wouldnt get tested - not for the sake of a low risk of syphillis (thats all they would test for in this case as the condom would protect against others) and if your genital region never even made contacts it is not a good use of time!
Okay, that makes sense - thank you again!

I’m still getting itchiness around my pubic region and also slight discomfort, tingling, and a burning sensation during urination and often at times when I’m not urinating. Would you strongly suggest this is not STD related? Could this be a bacterial reaction from my unprotected sex with my girlfriend?

Or maybe it’s something else? As I did have severe stomach pains the other night - could be kidney related.

Cheers!

you wore a condom so it is NOT STI related. Maybe guilt, maybe irritation from the condom or irritation from rough sex? Drink plenty of fluid and try to abstain from sex for a couple of days but im not concerned it is STI related. Dont look to far into the kidney side of things!

Try to relax. Dont let anxiety win and look at the science and reasoning behind it. Think logically.
Okay thank you! Happy new year!
No problem. And to you!
