Hey I’m new here I’m just lost and confused I just hope someone can help me out here’s my story: I recieved unprotected oral sex from a hooker 2 days later I had a single bump on my penis and I also had lower abdominal discomfort/ bloating feeling. I go to my family doctor he takes a look and the single bump and says it’s nothing and does std urine and blood test. Everything came back negative. The next day I go to a walk in clinic and he took my urine and said from my symptoms I might have Chymldiya so he gave me one shot of ceftrixone and 4 pills of azmithrzine I took it and after 3 days I still didn’t feel better so I went to another walk in clinic she thought I had epidymitis because I thought my testicle were a little swollen. She gives me another shot of cefttixone and 10 days course of levofloxcin I took it and I still didn’t think it cleared my epidimytis. I still had lower abdominal bloated tightness feeling. After 2 months I went to a STD clinic they told me I had Non specific urethritis and gave me 7 days of doxycycline and I took it and now I’m here. My question is from taking the wrong antibiotics will doxycycline work? Like will it kill the bacteria or is the bacteria resistant because I took so many wrong antibiotics?

It looked like Molluscum but there wasn’t a indent in the middle like they say it should have and the dermatologist literally looked at bump for 2 sec

Then maybe it wasn't molluscum. Since they didn't test it, you may never know. You don't get genital warts from oral.

One bump can be anything. You never said where the bump was - it could have been an oil gland - look up Fordyce Spots, a pimple, or just a bump. You get bumps on other parts of your skin probably, and never worry about it - your genitals are no different. Sometimes a bump is just a bump.

I don’t understand why the dermatologist didn’t test it. What’s the different appearance from a genital wart and Molluscum? Can herpes be a single bump? Can syphills be a single bump?

I don't know why your derm didn't test it - you'd have to ask them.

Herpes is not a bump. It's a sore, usually a cluster of blisters or looks like a paper cut. Syphilis is a round, open sore.

If you are having symptoms again, you need to go back to the doctor.

Even if you have symptoms, at 2 days, there may not be enough bacteria to show up on a test yet.

There is no way that you took all those antibiotics, and completed each course, and the bacteria wasn't killed.

There is no STD that causes bloating.

Lots of things cause testicular aching, and most aren't STDs. You need to see your doctor.

Is this something you feel guilty about? Remember that guilt does NOT equal risk. Receiving oral sex isn't that high risk to start with, so either this is something other than an STD, or perhaps anxiety is causing some of these symptoms. (I'm not minimizing them - anxiety can cause real symptoms in our bodies.)

In some conditions, abdominal pain may occur before testicle pain. Common causes of testicle pain include: ... Infection or swelling of the sperm ducts (epididymitis) or testicles (orchitis). Twisting of the testicles that can cut off the blood supply (testicular torsion)... (google)

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if you had yeast now from all the antibiotics you took.

We can guess for weeks. The only way to know is to go back to the doctor.

What if - and I'm not saying this is it - but what if it's testicular cancer, and we've spent all this time wondering about STDs? Go back to the doctor. Seriously.

I don't think antibiotics cause h pylori, but could cause c-diff. Again, these are all things you need to talk to your doctor about. They are not STDs, and are outside the realm of this forum.

Anxiety can cause any kind of symptom.

The dermatologist took a look and said it looks like Molluscum contagiosum. Now it’s gone after he treated it with liquid nitrogen. But can Molluscum look like herpes, syphills or genital warts I’m worried it could be something else. Why wouldn’t the dermatologist test the bump?

I don't know why they didn't test it. MC has a very specific look - have you googled that?

It looks nothing like herpes or syphilis, but can look like genital warts. Warts and MC don't usually result in 1 bump, though, which is why I didn't mention it to you earlier - they usually result in many.

Google them. Keep in mind that many pictures are worst-case, but you can see what the sores look like.

Last question please I tested after 2 days after the encounter how accurate is the std test because I had symptoms lower abdominal pressure feeling and testicle was red and inflamed but test came back negative after 2 days is it realizable?

Oh, testing at 2 days is not accurate. However, anything you might have had that would cause these symptoms would have been cured by the meds.

If the bacteria was growing, you might have symptoms - depends on the bacteria. The antibiotics you've been on would kill it all, though.

I don't know what that bump was. It's impossible to say. If it comes back, have your doctor look at it. It's not an STD.

Yes, I think you'll be able to recover from all the antibiotics. Just give yourself time. :)

The antibiotics would have more than cured NSU.

Testicles being "a little swollen" don't necessarily mean you have epidimytis. Usually, that would cause you to only have pain in one testicle.

However, the 10 days of levofloxin would have cured epidimytis, since you've already had ceftriaxone.

NSU doesn't cause lower abdominal pressure.

If you are still having symptoms, you need to go to your doctor, tell them ALL the antibiotics you had, and your symptoms, and stop focusing on STDs as a cause.

Make sure you are drinking enough water, lay off alcohol if you drink that, and avoid caffeine. You've had a lot of antibiotics in a really short period of time. Give your body a chance to clear all that and see how you feel.

To be honest I took Levofloxcin and my legs were shaky and weak but at the time I didn’t realize it was from the antibiotic I completed the course. I just feel as if I’m still not 100% myself after taking that antibiotic what do I do next. Thanks

As mentioned, different antibiotics are better suited for different diagnoses.

Sorry, didn't finish.  So, they may have but not completely.  That you still have symptoms, hopefully you have your final diagnosis and treatment. But do share exactly what you have taken and what other doctors have said/done as you see each new doctor.

Are you telling these doctors that you are going in over and over and you had a doctor just look at you?  Just curious.  Yes, it should work.  Antibiotics are such that each one will work on different bacteria with many having overlap as to what they cover.  Some work better on one thing than other things.  The way resistance builds up is if someone doesn't finish their course of therapy completely and the bacteria regrows.   It gets smarter when it regrows and starts to be able to reproduce (bacteria this is) so that the antibiotic can't stop it.  This is why doctors try not to over prescribe them because it gives more opportunity for the bugs (bacteria) to become smarter and more opportunity for patients to not use take a full course of medication.  It's not ideal to take many antibiotics, obviously, but hopefully they are on the right track now to finally cure the issue.

Thanks for the reply and no I was not telling doctors I was seeing other doctors. Also the antibiotic levofloxcin has a lot of side effects I’m just wondering if I got any side effects from the antibiotics will I recover or are the side effects permanent?

Well, you aren't giving them what they know to adequately treat you if you withhold that information. That's how medical mistakes can happen as they want a "health history' covering what you have and haven't tried.  Levofoxin does have a fair number of side effects. The ones that are problematic are rare though.
