Vaginal fluid inside condom

I'll be brief......A week or so ago I had protected sex, beforehand we had been involved in oral (me on her) with some external masturbation, i.e. my fingers never entered the lady in question's vagina but did touch the outside and her clitoris.  During putting the condom on I accidentally tried to put it on inside out, thus touching the interior of the condom, then corrected.  I am worried that some potential bacteria may have transferred from my hands (though they were dry at the time) into the inside tip of the condom.
5 days later I am sore, no discharge or severe pain when urinating but I don't feel right down the length of my urethra.  Is there any chance I could have caught something?  I have seen plenty of conflicting information....the biology of it seems to fit, surely hands can transfer bacteria, but a lot of people, including the doctors that used to post, say no chance....or very close to it.
I just wanted to get other people's take on it.

So hands don't transmit bacteria, and there's lots of reasons why. I'm not sure if I've ever given you the links about hands, but I'll include them below.

Could it be anxiety causing your symptoms, like a hyper-awareness? How's your water intake? Alcohol and caffeine?

These threads are about mutual masturbation, but they explain why hands don't transmit. They are from experts when we had them.

Thanks AJ.  I'll have a read through these.  I still can't get it out of my head that surely the bacteria can survive on my hands for a few moments whilst I make a bad job of putting a condom on.  Just very worried there was minuscule amounts of fluid in there.
Water and caffeine are normal for me.  Yeah I'm a worrier but it doesn't feel right
Much appreciated on the answer, I'll have a read.  There are websites that say this could happen....
I don't know what websites you're on, but a lot of websites err on the side of extreme caution, and list things that theoretically could be possible, someway, somehow, but don't mention that in practicality, it would never happen.

Could I win a million dollars on the same day I get struck by lighting? Sure, it could happen. Will it? Nope.

So could bacteria be on your hands and transfer to the tip of the condom and then enter your urethra? Sure. But what was the air temp? Your hands were dry, which means that there was no moisture for bacteria to live in. You had already used your hands to rip open the condom, meaning that if you had bacteria on them, some of it transferred to the condom package. This whole time, your hands are exposed to air.

So it's not an efficient way to transmit.

You had similar symptoms before, if I remember correctly. Do you get these symptoms when you ejaculate by yourself? Have you had sex without getting these symptoms? I'm asking to see if maybe you have a prostate issue.
What you say seems to make sense, and I sure hope you're right.
Just when I think things are going well I end up back at square one.  Every act seems to have something that makes me think I could contract something.
No, definitely no prostate issues
Thanks, you're a very patient woman!!
If it were that easy to get an STD, we'd all have had several by now, several times over.

I'm not all that patient, but I'm glad you think so. :)
So, not worth testing then? I'd like to have the peace of mind but the tests are expensive.  Can it really be coincidence that I have discomfort?
Things seem to actually be getting worse!  There's no way that there isn't something going on here :(
How is it getting worse?

I'm not convinced that you don't have something else going on. You say it's not prostate, and I don't know if you've had other encounters that don't result in these symptoms, but you've had enough of them to explore this on a deeper level.

Either you have something happening with your prostate, maybe it's recurring UTIs, or it's anxiety or guilt or something that is doing a number on you (and don't discount the physical symptoms that anxiety causes - they are very, very real) - but something is happening.

Do you have access to home urine test strips? They sell them here in the US, but I know they don't in Canada (or they didn't used to). I don't know if they sell them where you are. If they do, try that first. It can tell you if you have anything up with your urine, and while it's not 100% accurate, it may help you decide your next steps.
Hey AJ. I have a bunch of those and have tested my urine, mostly looking for leukocytes, always negative.
Maybe it's anxiety. The symptoms sure are real though
Regarding how it's getting worse......generally just more sore down length of urethra.  Doesn't hurt at the tip like most people's seems to, m ore in the middle.  Uncomfortable to pee but that may be because I've been checking myself for discharge very frequently.   I have found none.
I regard myself as fairly knowledgeable about this sort of thing and if someone else had posted my question I'd have probably said the same as you .  Though I still believe that bacteria can spread easily....the ones responsible for food poisoning sure do!
Damn condoms, they should have different colours for inside and outside!!
Glad you tested your urine. No leukocytes is a good sign.

Listen, anxiety gives you real symptoms. It's not "in your head", and you aren't imagining them (if these are being caused by anxiety and not something else). It could be a hyperawareness of your penis because you have a fear of this.

Also, aside from sexual activity, don't discount diet. Foods you eat can affect your bladder, which in turn can irritate your urethra. Besides taking in enough water or less alcohol and caffeine, fruits and juices can irritate the bladder. So can spicy foods, tomatoes and tomato-based foods, acidic fruits like oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes, chocolate and any carbonated beverage (even without caffeine). Coffee and tea can, too.

And yes, condoms should have some kind of notation or something so we know for sure which way we are rolling it.
