Would I have an elevated WBC if STI was present?

So I have no real reason to suspect an sti but I had some blood tests and gave a stool sample recently for an ongoing bowel issue I have been experiencing.

All my blood tests came back completely normal and I'm still waiting on the faecal calprotectin test to come back.

If I had any infection of any kind, would I have had an elevated white blood cell count?

Probably not, if it's a mild, localized infection. The only way to know if you have an STI is to get specific testing.

I'm glad you're getting testing for your symptoms. I hope everything comes back okay. :)

Hi if you dont have any reason to suspect an std, meaning you had no exposure then you dont have any std. You might want ask the white cell question in another medical group.
