adult bookstore mistake

So unfortunately I was drunk found myself in a adult bookstore. I performed oral on two different people and received it from one. Instantly I regretted and started worrying about stds. Right when I got home I scrubbed myself with handsoap all over by penis in vain. Ever since I have been paranoid and check it and my mouth hourly. I have a small reddish spot on the rim of the head that doesn't seen pimply more chapped. I have noticed tingly but I know my anxiety could be feeding  this but I am extremely concerned and scared. I only notice the tingly when I start to think about it but when I'm with someone doing something I'm fine. I have been with my girlfriend for 2 years so guilt also plays into this. Additionally I have been a regular marijuana smoker for 3 years and quilt immediately due to the anxiety and paranoia. I have not noticed anything in my mouth. This happened a week ago and I know about window periods but I am getting tested Monday for some peace of mind and to see what they say. I guess what I'm asking is does this sound like a std or a manifestation of my mind? Any feed back greatly appreciated.

I was seen tested for gonnarhea and clamydia. Both negative. The stuck feeling has went away about a week after. I'm planning a follow up. The red spot is still there doesnt hurt just there. does this seem strange?

a wart won't look like irritation.

follow up with your provider or a dermatologist if you are concerned.

So now a month later the spot is still there. Somewhat itches. i haven't had any blistering or anything like that. I have masturbated regularly perhaps i didn't let it heal? Also does this sound anything like hpv?

no need for something that isn't cheap and not always easy to find. just use a baby diaper rash cream :)

Thank you so much grace. The doctor told me it looks like skin irritation as well but ran the tests you recommended. She also mentioned coconut oil. Have you ever heard of that on the genitals?

sweetie - you can not use just any ole lotion on your delicate genital skin!!!  stop using these and instead pick up something like aquaphor or any baby rash ointment and try that instead if you feel the need to do something.

Thank you grace I will be doing that tomorrow. Does the red spot seem irregular at all? I put lotion on it lastnight and seemed to take away some of the discomfort.

fyi - you can't wash std's off the skin. they are transmitted by the sex act itself, they don't lay around on the skin to be washed off.  washing up with soap like you did tends to just irritate the skin more.

nothing you've mentioned sounds like a std. since you have a regular partner to protect - get tested by both urine and a mouth swab for gonorrhea and chlamydia. follow up with a syphilis test 6 weeks post encounter just to err on the side of caution. no reason to test for anything else unless you develop an obvious and painful rash on the genitals within 2-20 days of the encounter - then be seen for herpes lesion cultures if you do.

Yes I agree she is standing by me. I'm hoping my anxiety is just turning me into a hypochondriac. Still a scary thought. I just feel incredibly stupid for taking such a risk, alcohol or no alcohol.

As jessy said this is low risk and some experts consider oral sex safe sex but if you have  lover then best to test to make sure she/he dosent get exposed.

Hello

You were at low risk for STDs from what you describe (receiving oral sex, I assume unprotected).    When we say low risk we mean, don't worry about it.  You asked, "I'm asking is does this sound like a std".  It does not.

Side Note:

Drinking alcohol itself doesn't cause STDs, but puts you in a state of mind or lack of, and the environment it creates, increases the risk for acquiring an STD because of the release of inhibition (this is also true with other substances).   Let's try to stay in control next time.  It's something to think about.   You were safe this time around, but consider it as next time who knows what one may / will do.
