concern over growth on skin

I am a 31 year old white male living in the US. I had unprotected oral sex with a black female on May 4th of 2010. I performed oral sex on her. We also had condom protected vaginal sex. About a month prior, I received unprotected oral sex from her. I have tested negative for HIV, gonorrhea, and syphilis. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed what looked like a skin tag located in the upper region of my inner thigh almost in the crease where my leg connects to my groin. It is a loose flappy piece of skin and it will turn red when it is irritated by clothing. It is the same color as my skin and is just hanging. It is very thin. I think that it started out before my sexual encounter as what appeared to be a light brown mole, but it looks more like a skin tag now. My fear is that this is a genital wart, but doesn't have the appearance of a wart. I am a married male and have only had sex with her and this other female in the last 5 years. I have had sex with my wife since the encounter on May 4th. What does this sound like? It looks as if it is just hanging by a thin piece of skin

I went to the doctor and i actually had 4 growths total. One of them was the one mentioned above. He thought the one mentioned in the earlier thread was a wart, but not sexually transmitted. Doesn't look like a wart to me, but a large skin tag that you can easily pull away from the skin. He sent it off to be tested. Also, I have three other growths, one located in the crease between my leg and testicles that he said was a skin tag, the other located in the lower abdomen above penis area that he diagnosed as a skin tag and the other in the upper crease of my groin on the other side that he said was a skin tag. The other three growths looked like a pointy piece of skin that grew straight up and you can move it back and forth easily. The results should come back in a few days. I am still very scared. The dr. on the dermatology forum stated that she thought the one I described in the earlier thread (the one he thought was a wart) is a skin tag

your regular doctor is a good place to start for this work up. doesn't take a dermatologist to do a basic assessment. Wouldn't you feel kinda silly if you had yourself all worked up like this and your doctor saw it and was able to tell you it was something very simple and non-std related?

likew something that needs a proper diagnosis. Your risk was too low for you to be this concerned... besides if you were to actually get something it would not be on your pelvic bone it would be on your penis shaft or head. We can not dignose you, we all get bump and spots here or there.

perhaps you can see your regular doctor sooner than you can see a dermatologist for a proper exam?

I forgot to mention that there are two bumps total (1 on each side). They are very small and they aren't painful. Does that sound like clogged pore or folliculitis?

I am about to go crazy. I am not able to see the dermatologist until August 25th. I mentioned what I think is a skin tag. Also almost up to my pelvic bone there are two small red bumps. I am so afraid this is an std, but Dr. Hook didn't seem to think i would catch an STD from this exposure. I have spoken to the woman I had sex with and she said she could prove to me with doctors records that she doesn't have an STD. I am panicking.

Dr Hook already commented on this in your ongoing post on his forum. bottom line is you need to be seen for a proper diagnosis.

Yeah, they are more cauliflower like. This is like a piece of skin that you can easily move back and forth and hanging from what looks to be a stalk. It will turn red when it is irritated. It is almost like you could just pull it off, but I know that you can't.

well most dermatologist should be able to but they will tell you the same thing for a proper diagnosis it would need to be biopsied... but warts are classic by appearence

Would he be able to tell just by looking at it or would he have to send it off for a biopsy?

sounds like a sskin tag.. you can get them anywhere on oyur body... the only way to know if it is a wart it to have it diagnosed by a doctor... a biopsy.
