my partner has a bruise and a small raised lump on penis head

hi.  I recently had sex with a new partner, and it turns out that just after we had sex he developed a small reddish/purple "bruise" or "spot" that is slightly raised.  He said it feels uncomfortable and he is conscious of it during the day.  He went to the doctor, and the doctor said it was probably mechanical and should go away, but a week later the bruise and raised area have not gone down at all.  What would cause a symptom like that?  Is there an STD or infection visible immediately or within a couple of hours of having sex?  Could it be an irritation to a condom?

the fact you used a condom puts him at a lower risk of being and STD.im not an expert of any kind to STDs but i never heard of an std that shows signs immediately especially if most STDs show no symptoms at all..if  the doc. didnt suspect a STD then you should relax. he should visit again thought for the fact the bump still did not go away.

just trying to help.Relax!. good luck :)

I agree - an std wouldn't have shown up that fast, condom or no condom.

If its not getting any better, he should follow up with his doctor.
