Aussie doctors are great. Arrh stress releif. im enjoying it.
Australians doctors are really good. Thats good yiu git treatment. dont worry you are alos HIV free.
I went to a local australian gp. He is really good. Called me an idiot but all good haha. I have hep shots so hopefully i didnt get exposed to hep c. My throat seems to be clearing up and tongue isnt sore. Lip seems to be going down now too. Woo. He gave me herpes treatment aswell. He seemed a little concerned that what kinda freaked me out!
Hi there,
i replied to your message. Dont worry much about the HIV, you will be fine. You are lucky you are here in Australia, where all blood tests are free. I got all tests for free last Monday.
Did you go to your local gp? Or to the HIV clinics, here in sunshine coast they all it clinic 87.
So i seen the doc, he said it could be herpes but unsure so has done a swab, chamydia and gonorreha.
Further more he has given me a penicillin shot for syhpilis.
I have to go and get bloods done for hiv, heb b and c, syphilis and herpes.
Hopefully the outcome is good. But i am indeed very worried. Not so much of hiv but the implications this has had on my mental health. For now i will be seeking a monogamous partner with full testing.
This is certinily life changing stuff and i havent even been diagonsed with anything.
Arrh scary times
Also 1 more thing, is there much diffrence in severity between hsv1 and hsv2?
Also could hiv tranmission occur if she had open sores if she did have herpes.
Thank you mate. Yes i am in australia. I will let you know what the doctor says in a few hours:)
Although your symptoms don't seem entirely typical for a new oral herpes infection, it is conceivable that is what you have. If so, most likely it's HSV1, acquired by kissing-- assuming you kissed your partner. HSV2 due to performing oral sex on her is possible as well.
I'll be interested to hear the outcome after you have seen your doctor. Also, I think your profile said you're in Australia. If so, you could consider visiting your nearest sexual health centre. Your country's government-supported SHCs probably are, collectively, the world's best network of STD/HIV prevention and treatment clinics.
Good luck; I look forward to hearing more.
I gave her oral by the way.
