swelling of the lymph nodes in Genital area.

My husband has recently been deployed. He was in San Diego when he told me he had some little white bumps in his Genital area..He explained what they look like and I told him that they might be Razor bumps...The next night he went out with some friends and they got drunk. The next morning he told me that his Lymph nodes were swollen. He wasn't sure what was going on. But the nodes get more swollen every time he drinks...We have been having unprotected sex for a while now and he seems to think I might have cheated on him and I haven't. I had just had a Pap anyway and everything was fine.. I know he wouldn't cheat on me because I trust him and he's paranoid about not knowing if someone has "something".

What could this be? He says the swelling has gone down...but it's been a few weeks.
I told him that he could have also gotten something from the bathrooms because they aren't very sanitary.
He went to the DR. but they didn't know what was wrong....
He's been gone for a few months and I don't want to have sex with him when he comes home before having a general idea of what maybe wrong.

He needs to follow up on this.

It could be a staph infection from shaving or something, but if his lymph nodes are swelling every time he drinks, he needs to get that checked (and maybe stop drinking for awhile?) because that might indicate a deeper infection.  They can biopsy the bumps, too.

hmmmmm..... usually your lymph nodes swell when there is a an infection of some sort.  I would recommend that he see a doctor and have a swab done.  It sounds like he needs to get checked out by a doctor, im sure he would respect you for wanting to use a condom or wait for the test results to come back.  Keep in mind that many std's can be spread by skin contact on exposed areas not protected by the condom.
