Normally 5 days would be sufficent but 7 would be conclusive. Remember that many many many people have hsv1 oral and shedding does occur without any lip sore present and its a very real risk to contract hsv1 on your penis and if you did get it you could give it to your wife in the vaginal area from sex.
You for sure dont want to expose her to this and testing would be recommended at 3 months for her protection.

5 days for those is good but did she give you a "deep throat" oral as thats how you would contract it. Since your married youll need to test for syphilis at 6 weeks and herpes at 3 months as well for her protection and safety.
