Nervous about encounter during chlamydia treatment

I recently tested positive for chlamydia. I got a 1g single dose of azithromycin and so did my boyfriend. I took my pills on Wednesday (today is Saturday) and he took his on Thursday.

This morning we masturbated together. I touched myself primarily and he touched himself, but he did touch my vagina at one point. And I touched his penis. Tried to stay clear of precum. WE DID NOT HAVE SEX.

I washed my hands immediately before. And I washed them after. Just concerned about hand-genital risk.

What do you think is my risk for reinfection?

Effective treatment for chlamydia requires at 7 days of antibiotic in the system. So why is single dose azithromycin used and nearly 100% effective? Because it is a very long acting antibiotic; a single dose gives active levels throughout the body for at least 10 days.

In other words, both you and your partner had fully effective amounts of azithromycinin your systems when this event occured. Hand-genital contact almost never transmits chlamydia anyway, but even if it could, in this case there is no chance of it. So no worries!

Even if I was wet and he had precum? I washed it off before I touched myself. But I don't know for sure about his hands.
