Chancre on tongue

6 weeks after potential exposure took a RPR test which came back non reactive, chancre appeared on tongue at 8 weeks with some whitening of tongue that can be brushed of, took a T Pallidum test at 10 weeks it also.came back normal/non reactive.... is it safe to assume.i don't have syphilis and the symtpoms are from.something else?

RPR at 6 weeks may be wrong, but a T. Pallidum specific test at 10 weeks is highly reliable: syphilis can be ruled out.
A chancre on a tongue is an uncommon thing among various oral ulcerations and pictures on the Internet may be very confusing. Trust the tests, but if your "chancre" doesn't heal for weeks, it is a good idea to show it to a doctor or test again.

I feel.prerty confident in the test other than the fact human error does occur, and I find it strange I have which appears to be the chancre on the back of my tongue and the truth symtpoms....  it's hard to reassure myself
Has a doctor actually seen the sore?

What was your exposure? If you didn't give oral sex to someone with a penis, there's no way you'd have a chancre on the back of your tongue. Chancres appear at the point of infection, so to get one on the back of your tongue, you'd have to have a penis there.

Also, that penis would have to have a visible sore on the end of it.
Oral on a female....   could ir possibly be herpes or hpv on the back of tongue?
Only a doctor can tell you what it is.

It is unlikely to be either of those things from oral on a female - that is really low risk. Just get it checked since it's bothering you so much.

White on the tongue that can be brushed off is usually just from food, drink, smoking, etc.
Completely agree with AuntieJesse: only a fellatio on a penis would have resulted in a chancre on the back of the tongue.
There are lots of things happening on tongue mucosa every day, it is quite often traumatized. There may be a benign non-STI fungal infection. There is a condition called glossitis which make chancre-like lesions appear for no reason.
All those causes are much more likely than oral syphilis.
Whitening of the tongue is not a symptom of any STI.
If you are still worried, show your tongue to a doc.
Thank you !
