Condom inside out - does it still protect from STDs?

Hello,

I stupidly had drunken sex with someone I don't know. I'm male and sex was vaginal with female.

Despite being drunk I am 100% sure we wore a condom for vaginal sex from start to finish.

We used 2 condoms as we switched back to oral in between penetrative sex. Being drunk I had quite a bit of trouble getting the condoms on. However I know they were on, I'm just worried they might have been inside out.

Does a condom still protect the same from STDs if inside out? Sorry if this is a sill question but I am nervous.

Condoms don't roll down if they are inside out, and it wouldn't matter anyway. So long as it's on, it doesn't matter.

This gives you so much anxiety. Why do you still do it?

Thank you. I was very drunk so putting the condom on was a struggle that's why I don't know. But I 100% know the condom was on as I remember that. So regardless which way round I had it on I know I did the right thing and can relax?

In terms of the second part of your reply, you are correct, for some reason I do have some sort of irrational fear and panic after each sexual episode. I don't know why. Maybe I should get help for that?
Yes, you can relax. As long as you had the condom on, it's good.

And I do think getting help is a great idea. No judgement at all, just compassion. Mental health is just as important as your physical health, and addressing it is a smart idea. :)
