HPV risk from oral/anal sex

Dear members,
I would like to ask you about the risk of contracting HPV (I am a gay male, having had quite a lot of receptive anal sex over my lifetime). I am 24, always had protected anal sex but I know this does not completely prevent HPV. I am quite worried about anal cancer and would like to get tested for it with a PAP test. Should I get tested for HPV16 and how much time is the window period? Is testing worth the effort/does it make sense in this case?
Thank you in advance!
