Inflammation (Prostatitis) year after Chlamydia Exposure and Treatment

Hello Everyone,

About a year ago, I contracted chlamydia from an ex. I went and got tested and treated a week after I started having the symptoms which mainly included discharge for the most part. As time went on, the discharge stop but other symptoms started to come. I started having extreme back pains and a lot discomfort in my genital area, especially the tip of my penis. I went to the emergency room on two separate occasions. I was originally prescribed azithromycin. After I finish taken that, I still had symptoms so I was prescribed doxy. Took all of that medication and still had symptoms. I also was prescribed cipro, which helped a little at first. I’ve been tested multiple times at different locations. All the results come back negative. I’ve been to several doctors and clinics and no one has been able to help me resolve the symptoms. This has been going on over a year and I’m tired. Can someone please suggest something for me. Whether it will cure it or just help with the symptoms, my ears are open. I honestly think it’s prostatitis but every time I suggest it to a doctor, they always tell me I’m too young or too healthy to have that. At this point, the inflammation is affecting my everyday life. Someone please help me.

We’re you ever tested for Mycoplasma Genitalium?

Do, PSA analysis, bacterial tests: ureaplasma/micoplasma/chlamydia and a general swab, and the prostate fluid culture. Based on the results you will know what to do. Doctors can sometimes be arrogant and less observant when it comes to young age patients, so make sure that you expose your case factually and calmly. Either way a prolonged course of antibiotics(the correct ones) will resolve your case.

Listen, these two guys are the best that can help. They've been there.

I just want to share that if you are in the US, there is a new FDA approved mycoplasma test. Talk to your doctor about it.
