it takes months for PID to develop from untreated std's.
Grace is only suggesting testing to be on the safe side. Gono and Chlamydia are low risk from oral sex and in my experience men always get symptoms with Gono as is a nasty bug to have. About 5 days after exposure there is a big time white discharge and terrible burning when urinating. If you did not have these then i would really suggest you dont have anything but to test, as grace said, on the side of caution.
I think your anxiety is kicking in for the most part. All you have to do is go have a swab or urine test so you can get on with your life. The longer you wait the more anxious you will become.
Could anyone please clarify the earliest you would expect symptoms to appear from pid from gonorrhea? What would the typical symptoms be when they appeared?
Hi and welcome. Oral is low risk for contracting std's and with Gono most likely you would have symptoms for sure. The only way to know if you gave her anything (which i doubt) is to have some testing. Its really the only way to know.
Thank you for your response. To clarify you are saying 5 weeks would be too soon for a female to develop pid and have pain in her side related to it?
since you had unprotected oral, you should cover your bases with testing to protect your wife don't you think? you can get tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis now just to err on the side of caution.
would your wife have developed PID if you had contracted a std? not this quickly she wouldn't.
