I am a heterosexual male and About 1 year ago I had brief exposure (penis to vagina) with a heterosexual woman. A few days later I found out that she had an abnormal pap smear a few months prior. I was also told that she was tested for HPV and it was negative. Before I heard all this, I noticed redness around the opening of my urethra after the exposure. Since then I have been tested for all common STDs past the standard time for testing. However there is no test for HPV for men. I will briefly list my symptoms, They are: Redness around opening of urethra (has not gona away), change in color (purplish) when I open my urethra, wrinkles/bumps on head of penis, small bumps under head of penis, hemmroids/anal fissure (appeared 1 month after exposre, but has gone away), Peridontal Disease (my gums are white and it doesnt look healthy).
My questions are:
1. Does the HPV Test test for the strain that causes genital warts? I read that it only checks for the "high risk" types.
2. Can I put any faith in knowing that her HPV Test was negative? (This has been the only exposure in the past 1.5 years)
3. Do STDs cause White Gums Gingivitis/Peridontal Disease? It looks really severe.
