Protected oral sex

Hi all.  I visited a csw 5 days ago and received protected oral sex. Guilt and anxiety taking over. Condom was secure.  What are my chances of getting an sti/std?
No symptoms, just nervous.  Trying to stay away from places like this.   I feel that this will be the last time as its not worth the worry.  Also... i had a prescription for doxy (7days worth) which I'm in the 4th day.  Took it just to be overly covered.  Thanks.

There is almost a zero chance you got anything from this, and you absolutely don't need the antibiotic. Taking that when you don't need it only creates antibiotic resistance.

The only things you might be at risk for are syphilis and genital herpes type 1. If she didn't have a visible sore on her mouth, the chances of either are astronomically low. If you've ever had a cold sore, ever in your entire life, you have hsv1 already, and can't get it genitally.

Syphilis is uncommon in most places. Wouldn't even worry about it.

What I would worry about is that these places cause you guilt and anxiety and you continue to go back. You need to figure out why you do that.

Thank you for your quick response and the reassurance  Working through the reasons Auntie.  I really am.   Slipped up.
I wasn't judging you. I really just want you to be well. :)
I know and value your care and concern.   Just want to put this past me.  You advised me to stop taking the antibiotic.   You stated "almost zero chance.  Will stoping the antibotic before the 7 days make a difference from a redistance standpoint since you dont think this event posed risk?
I didn't advise you to stop it - I said you didn't need it, and explained that taking antibiotics you don't need creates resistance. If you aren't taking antibiotics that you don't need often, you shouldn't have resistance. One time won't hurt.

Are you in counseling? I hope you consider it. I say that with compassion.
Ok.  And no I'm not.  Been doing a lot of research on it.  Hope to have a plan in place soon
Good, I hope you find some relief soon. :)
