STD - Can medications really help?

I started feeling irritation and the burning/hot in the genital area, specially urethra after 10 days having exposure to a working girl. Unprotected oral and did protected sex.

Visit doctor after 20 days of exposure and he gave me Zithromax 250mg*4 tablets (to swallow together) and Doxycycline 100mg x2times a days for 7 days

Meanwhile, did urine culture and blood test including HIV, it was normal.

After 7 days I started feeling more burning/hot sensation so went back to doctor and he gave me injection of Rocephin (500mg), Zithromax 250mgx4tablets (to swallow all together) and doxy 100mg*2 for 14 days

Once started these medication I started pain on left testicle, So went back to doctor and they confirm that its epididymitis after the Ultrasound report.

He gave me Ciprofloxacin 250mg x2 time a day for 7 days. After seven days, situation was little improved so he gave me Cirpfloxacin 500mg x 2 time for 7 days.

Now all the medications are finished. Clear discharge is now started and I also noticed 2-3 time while sticky thing around penis however its very tiny but no THICK green, while or yellow discharge.

10 days now after all the medications are finished and I am still having burning sensation on top of the penis, anal,  mild pain in Urethra and left side testicle. It's feel like that the infections is going to hit back.

I have done the HIV test and it is negative. Also did swab, urine culture and fungal test which I am waiting for the results

Its almost 2 month now and I am not able to recover yet. Any help or directions would be highly appreciated

they threw a heck of a lot of antibiotics at your needlessly in hopes that they would cover anything going on. You don't have to be worried about this being a bacterial std at this point - they more than covered those bases.

Clear discharge isn't std related. At this point you need to just wait for your body to return to normal. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods so you are clearing out your urogenital tract and aren't further irritating things.

It certainly wouldn't be unusual to develop a fungal infection after all those antibiotics. Not a bad idea to use a jock itch cream twice a day for the next week.

You are right and actually i did develop two fungal spot on my penis when i was having medicines,  which is cleared now expect a dark sign.

My doctor mentioned that they are still waiting for the final result of the swab test but based on initial swab results which i mentioned above, he is suspecting that its definately a bacteria infection and suggested me to visit again. I think that he will prescribe me another antibiotics.

I agree with you that i had a lot of anitbiotics.. I even lost taste of my mouth (bitter taste) and my tounge was also turned white when i was having these medication. However, its better now as i m not eating any more medicine for last 10 days.

Right now, I still feel some pain in urethra and feel like some inflamation inside... however no burning and hot feeling anymore as it was earlier.

Could be prostatitis. When those std bacterias get to your prostate. I am suffering from what I believe is that right now. Although in my case i tested positive for chlamydia and some experts don't believe chlamydia can get to the prostate but some others do, as well as credible websites. I am on cipro for the month of August for this issue. I have no more discharge or burning when I pee. But what i feel is pain in the rectum...probably from inflamation in the prostate.
