Still having STI symptoms

Hi I'm hoping someone can help. I recently finished a 7 day course of doxycycline for chlamydia (took last one on the 27th Jan) however I'm still having frequent urination and a burning sensation ( a symptom I didn't really have before I took the antibiotics!) I'm also feeling quite tired and lousy with it too.
Is it possible that the antibiotics didn't work or is as a result of having chlamydia.  Prostatitis maybe. Be grateful for any advice. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it's possible that any of those are possible.

You need to follow up with your doctor. Don't delay this. Let us know what happens.

Just s follow up. My doctor has requested another urine sample and  urethral swab. Is there a reason why i've been asked to
Are you still having symptoms? He probably wants to see if anything grows.
Also, don't hesitate to ask your doctor these questions. If you want to know why tests are being run, or not run, or why they are prescribing certain meds, or anything, ask. :)
Yes still having symptoms, frequent urination and slight burning sensation. Also very minor testicle discomfort which seems to be worse in the morning but goes throughout the day. Doctor was suprised that i would still have symptoms after taking doxycycline
It's possible your chlamydia test will still be positive, even if you are cured. They should be able to determine if there are live bacteria and dead bacteria.

Let us know what the results are.
