To see...or...not to see.

Grace and A.J....two things I'd like to share and again I would like to extend my appreciation for the amount of time you both volunteer to those of us who need a listening ear.
1) To see or not to see a physician when a pimple appears in the boxer area. I have spent many hours reading posts here and in the expert forum with regard to herpes. I will be the first to tell you that I am by far no expert on the subject, but because of the mistakes I have made...I feel compelled to want to learn as much as possible. If a pimple is found in the boxer area and is absent a rash of some sort...could it be just a pimple? Beyond the peace of mind of simply knowing....is it worth the time and money to get tested over a pimple? If the pimple is absent itching, discomfort, or some ulcer effect....honestly speaking....is there enough evidence to warrant a visit to the doctors office?  I have created the nightmare  I live in....and have been paranoid in the past.  However, thanks to people like the two of you...I have put things behind me...and for that I am more greatful than you can possibly know. I have come to accepting the terms of my prostititus and believe that it is nothing more than what it is. I am confident of that today. Again...thank you. However...why do posts exist which recommend seeking the advice of a professional when people have a pimple without any other typical signs of an STD.
2) I posted in the past about having the "Red Scrotum" but despite the advice....I have had no luck with settling the red flare down...that is until today!  After having no success with the fungal cream....I decided that I had nothing to lose with the purchase of a tube of Cortizone-10 plus. Have you heard of it? Anyway...just after one application....it made a subtle difference. It toned things down so to speak. Would you have any idea why something like this would prove results....while a prescription of fungal cream could not.  I'm just wondering after I complete to the cortizone treatment...will I be back to step one where the entire scrotum goes flaming red again. If you have any ideas...I sure would appreciate it.  Thank you.

Sorry about the new thread.  Won't happen again. If I have any further questions....I will stick with an existing thread. Thanks for your response and time again.

Hi there -

I think any time you have new symptoms, you should see a doctor if you are 100% sure what's causing it.  A pimple really can be a pimple, but sometimes it can be something else, and you should get it checked.  That said, if you are a particularly anxious person, you have to come up with a way to accept what the doctor says.  If he says its a pimple, you have to believe that, and move on.

I can't tell you if your scrotum will be red after using the cream.  No one could.  Perhaps you don't have a fungal infection, and have dermatitis or an allergic reaction, and this is why the new stuff is working when the other didn't.

I'm sure you've read that we really prefer you to keep all your questions in one thread.  Please do so, and for more explanation on that, read the two top threads in the topics list, please.
