Worried

Hi doc. My wife has had a smear and has been told she needs another one as she may have chlaymidia(or may not). Her last 1 whilst pregnant a year ago was clear and so was her one b4 that whilst previously pregnant. None of us have cheated so we are wondering if the clear tests could have been wrong and shes had it for a long time?

To be clear, your wife should get a chlamydia test on her urine.

It sounds like you may be talking about a Pap smear above-not the right test for diagnosing chlamydia.

Sounds like they are being cautious hence the 2nd test so assume the 1st wasn't tested for chlamydia? If so I wouldn't worry for now. If the first test was positive then it's possible to be a false positive and hence the 2nd test. If neither of you have strayed I wouldn't worry for now and just wait for the results.
