no symptoms

I have had little small bumps on my left index finger for a about twelve months and it comes and go once I rub my finger against somthing, I never thought anything of it because I work with my hands and I figured it could be a rash until now while reading about herpes and herpetic whitlow and now Im beginning to question myself if I may have contracted the herpes virus, I have had no symptoms or outbreaks on my mouth, penis, anus, or anywhere else on my body, it doesn't hurt when I urinate, and my penis doesn't itch.  I dont know if it could be HPV-1, HPV-2, or just a rash/enphazyma.  The bumps on my finger have started to spread to parts of my hand also, It itches only if it is rubbed against a hard surface and the bumps rise just high enough to be visible if you look at my finger directly.  If anyone have suggestions I would really appreciate it.

This discussion is related to Penis: bacterial infection/sores and not STD?.

These might be warts, but they aren't caused by the same strains that affect the genital area.  I also don't know if you meant herpes 1 and 2 (that's hsv, not hpv), but that's not likely to be on the hands either, and its painful when that happens.

You should post in the dermatology forum for more info.
