First I'm sorry, I am not an English speaker so my English is bad, I am a male, I had an sex with a sex worker 16 days ago, we had oral sex without condom (only fellatio), then sex with condom (It about 10-20 minutes), i didn't ejaculate, So I'm not sure did condoms have holes，For some reason I took doxycycline（Vibramycin） for a week 8 days after having sex，Is it possible for me to get syphilis? Can taking doxycycline （Vibramycin） after 8 days block syphilis？I know 8 days is the window period，Does taking medication during the window period work?

So first, condoms don't have holes. That's not something you need to worry about.

Syphilis is uncommon in most developed countries, though I don't know where you live. Oral sex is lower risk than vaginal or anal sex, even with a sex worker.

Doxycycline can help stop syphilis, but it's not the best treatment choice, and 8 days isn't enough.

It's not something I'd overly worry about unless syphilis rates are high where you live. You can find out by google syphilis incidence + your country, like syphilis incidence United States, or syphilis incidence India or Japan or United Kingdom.

It's not good to take antibiotics unless you've been given them for an infection. You can test for syphilis at 6 weeks if you stop taking the antibiotics now.

Oh I wouldn't worry at all in Japan.

The antibiotics shouldn't change the testing, but you might have to wait a couple of weeks after finishing to test, just to be sure.

There aren't any STDs that will give you a feeling of having something in your throat. Also, if you didn't give oral sex, you won't have an STD in your throat. Your symptoms will all be genital if you get one.

S/co means signal-to-cut-off ratio, meaning that a condition isn't diagnosed unless that S/co is reached.

I assumed you didn't have syphilis before you tested, because the infection rates are so low where you are.

I see no reason for you to test again.
