Chance of causing PID?

Hi Doctor,
I'm 49, married for over 16 years (both faithfully).
I went a urologist about symptoms (very occasionally a little pain with urination/a short tickling sensation after I lay down after urinating at night, tightness in the perenium (but not for a while). He also looked at my penis-I told him it can get some red spots/bumps on the head- and he also looked at my foreskin near the penis as it gets red and itchy and there is constantly a red mark (it sort of goes away with canesten). He said it wasn't prostatitis or ngu. I had twice before taken a test chlymidia test with neg results because of a tingling sensation at the tip of my penis. 2 PSA test: nothing abnormal.

What I also forgot to mention was that the urethra is sometimes a little irritated and that the tip of my penis sometimes tingles/itches (off and on for at least 2 years). After the visit, the slight pain or pressure on urinating increased in frequency, pressure in the perenium seemed to be back.

Also I didn't mention that occasionally, when I get an erection, the top of the shaft of the penis hurts (dry skin?) and it seems to hurt on the inside in the head of the penis. This also happened 2 years ago for  a short time but stopped.

Lastly I also had a faint pale dot on my the middle of the head of my penis and when I washed it a few times it seemed to be a normal color (could that have been discharge?)

Last week, annual physical. DR said no STD  (although he is no expert). I really feel however that there is something there.
My questions are:
1) Would the things that I forgot to mention change the Urologist's diagnosis

2) Could I have something that could hurt my wife  (trich/ Ureaplasma urealyticum/ Mycoplasma genitalium...) or give her PID? I get nervous thinking that I could cause my unborn child to be miscarried or infertility.

I do have problems with OCD so am I just being stupid? Thank you so much and looking forward to your reply.

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll try to help.  First and foremost, let me state that based on our understanding of the epidemiology of STDs and the symptoms you describe, as well as assuming that your wife is indeed monogamous (not doubting you but a necessary qualifier), there is virtually no chance that the symptoms that you describe are a reflection of the STIs not typically tested for, i.e. M. genitalium. ureaplasma, trich, etc.) and I would not worry that whatever is causing these symptoms puts your wife in jeopardy for STI complications.

As far as your other questions:
1) Would the things that I forgot to mention change the Urologist's diagnosis.
Yes, they might.  I have not had the opportunity to examine you however your mention of  dot and (on the community site) that is sometimes bleeds makes it necessary to be sure that this is not a skin cancer or chronic dermatological problem. Perhaps the examination will put these concerns to rest but I would make sure they know.

2) Could I have something that could hurt my wife  (trich/ Ureaplasma urealyticum/ Mycoplasma genitalium...) or give her PID? I get nervous thinking that I could cause my unborn child to be miscarried or infertility.
See above- these are not concerns.

I hope these comments are helpful. EWH

None of these symptoms suggest NGU or prostatitis to me.  They suggest to me that you may be more focus on your gential function than in the past and as a result you are noticing normal variation.  EWH

Sorry again Doctor. Just a few more things:
On occasion the penis seems to be more constricted and a little hard when flaccid and at that time the stream of urine might also be constricted.

The stream varies- sometimes it flows quickly, other times not so much and although rarely, it might feel like there is still some in the bladder when done.

Lastly, 3 or 4 times in the shower, when I pass a little urine, it has initially stung. I think it also happened one other time.

Probably my OCD but could these symptoms be prostatitis/ngu and if so an STD causing them?

I think this will be my last question and I probably already know your answer. Thanks.

No the "discharge" in no way changes my opinion. It is normal for most men to have slight amounts of genital discharge- it is usually overlooked/no noticed unless men are looking particualrly hard for it.  EWH

Thanks Doctor,
The bleeding stemmed from dry skin on the foreskin just under the head I think.
The dot, it was actually just a spot, I was worried could have been dried discharge but I think I had seen 1 before I that had disappeared. I had also thought that the head of my penis could have been a little shiny maybe sticky (?) once or twice. Could that have been discharge and then change your opinion? Thanks so much- you don't know how much you're helping me.
