Regarding bumps and clusters on foreskin

Hi,

I am 26 year old indian, never had sex, have been to strip clubs and had handjobs in massage parlors on 6 occasions but never penetrative sex.

My foreskin nevers retracts over my glans when fully erect and i was able to retract when not erect only last year and have been cleaning the glans and insides since then only.

since i was a teen, i have had bumps at the tip of my foreskin( i think i had phimosis, i was too embarrassed to tell or show anyone). i used to apply oil hoping it would go away it never did. for the last 1 year i tried applying hydrocortisone cream(cortaid) and stretching my foreskin.

Now i am able to succcesfully retract my foreskin when not erect, but the bumps seem to have multiplied and appear like a  broken ring all around the foreskin. when not erect this cant be seen as it becomes the tip of my foreskin, but when i pull back, i can see these bumps individually as well as in clusters.

I am worried i might have HPV even though i had them even before i ever visited a strip club or got a handjob in a massage parlor.

Really perplexed and feeling guilt ridden.

please see pictures below. Should i get myself circumsized?

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll try to help but my advice will not be based on the photos you have provided.  Our policy is to not comment on photos sent to us as proper evaluation of a rash requires direct examination and photos do not replace this. I did look at the photos you sent and they do not raise concern about any STD but as to what might be there , it is difficult to say.

You are not risk for STD or a rash transmitted from another person, STDs, including HPV are not transmitted as a result of attending strip clubs of receipt of manual masturbation.

The fact that this rash has been present for years makes the rash most unlikely to be an STD.  There are many dermatological processes which can occur on the penis.  Figuring out what it might be is the job of a dermatologist.

As to whether or not you should be circumcised, this is a personal decision.  Numerous well conducted studies now show that risk for HIV, syphilis, herpes and HPV are all lower among circumcised men but many uncircumcised men will never get any of these infections.  It remains a personal choice.

I hope this helps.  EWH

I had a similar situation. My foreskin is tight, and for the longest time I couldn't retract it all the way. Once I was able to, I saw a small cluster of whitehead-looking things beneath my foreskin. I freaked and went to a urologist. I told him that, during the time I'd discovered the bumps, I was not sexually active. He then told me that the bumps were basically cause by friction (because of tight foreskin) and are harmless. He was pretty *against* getting a circumcision for some reason.

I think a dermatologist would be the better direction to pursue.  EWH
