Urine Test

Good Day Doc,

I had a protected sex encounter with a sex worker about 3 weeks ago.  At the third day of my exposure, i did an Urine Culture Test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.  Test result is negative.  However, these few days i am having some weird tickling feeling on my penis.  Sometimes, i can feel some sharp tickling at the tip of my penis, especially when i am walking.  But, I do not feel any pain during my urination.

My questions are:
-  Is the urine test on the 3rd day conclusive?  or it is too early?
-  What are the possible causes?  Am i thinking too much?

Please advise.  Thank you.

This will be my final answer.  The condom protected exposure you described was safe sex with no risk for STI.  Your tests were also negative and should be believed. I told you that before.  Despite that you continue to worry, manufacturing symptomos out of normal observations.  You need to overcome your unwarranted anxiety. if more testing for NGU will help you to do that, then you should test but there is no medical reason for you to continue to worry, for you to abstain from sex from your wife, or for further testing.  In my opinion, you need to address your guilt over this exposure, nothing more.

This was my final answer.  I will not continue to feed your anxieties by providing further answers.  Further questions will be deleted wothout comment.  EWH

Good Day Sir,

After a few days of observation, i feel that my penis will discharge out 1-2 drops of urine uncontrollably even i had stopped peeing.  I noticed it when i return back to my room to wear my boxer last night.  I remembered clearly that i had wiped it dry after my urination.  Is it a matter of concern here?

Sometime, i also feel that my boxer is wet.  But when i check it, there was nothing.

Besides that, i feel some irritations in my penis when i masturbate.  I also feel some pain when it ejeculate initially.  I do not feel pain when i milk the remaining out.

So far, i do not feel pain during my urine.  Sometime, i can feel some irritation on the penis tip at the initial push for the urine to come out.

Is there a concern here, doc?

So far, i have been abstaining from having sex with my wife.  Should i go for further check up?  I did my urine test on 3rd day exposure and it is negative.
Should i do a swap test for NGU?

Hope to hear from you soon, doc.

Thank you for your assurance on the Urine Test.
Lately, I also noticed a few drops of urine came off from the tip of my penis after I stopped my urination.

Is it considered as a form of discharge? Is it something related to NGU?

Hope I'm being too sensitive.

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll be pleased to comment.   Even before I comment on your test results, let me say that the encounter you describe was condom protected and therefore safe sex unless the condom broke (if it appeared intact, it did not break.  When condoms break it is obvious) or you did not wear it throughout your penetration.  Your test results, which are conclusive at the time they were taken, confirms that you did not get gonorrhea or chlamydial infection.  Finally, the symptoms you describe are not at all typical of STI.

I suspect what is going on here is that following your exposure you have become more vigilant in looking for signs of infection and, as a result, are now detecting normal sensations which are always there but are normally overlooked.  This is not uncommon among our clients who start to have second thoughts about recent sexual exposures.  I se no reason for further testing and if I were you, would not worry further.

I hope this comment is helpful.  EWH
