Update on Paisley

Hello,

I wanted to Thank everyone for all your support, hugs and prayers you have been sending to us.

The vet called me late yesterday with her results from pathology on her tumor. Paisley had a Garde 2 Mast Cell Tumor - It was a type of skin cancer. They beleive they got all of it so that is good.

She will not be on any treatment right now. We need to watch for more lumps...
She is doing well and will have her stitches out on Oct 7. As far as that, the doc said if you had a hefty bank account you could do chemo but right now we need to watch for re-growth and new lumps and have them checked if they come up. I will have to read up more about Mast Cell Tumors...

Thanks again for your love support and hugs. I appreciate it
Love Jibs

Hi sweetie,

She is so cute..such a snuggle bug. We we snuggling last night in bed watching tv..I keep her cone on because she is a little bugger about getting to her stitches...She was laying on her back with all four legs stretched out with her nosed nuzzeld in my neck and this darn cone flopped over her..SNORING away...

I think she is going to be alright. I visited the forum/group here for pets with cancer and read some posts and answers from veternarian about Grade 2 Mast Cell Tumors in dogs..I feel better.

Keep good thoughts that the drs got it all we will be thinking of you and Paisley -  Can't wait to see picks -   know it is hard esp with all you deal with regarding your own health every day -  give her lots of kisses and you can help each other feel better!

(((Hugs)))

We lost our dog last Summer to cancer. It took me by surprise. It was in a tumor in his lungs/heart. I miss him terribly.

I will hope they got it all and Paisley will be just fine. It sounds like good news. Yay!

Hi
Thanks for the update I'm sorry it has come back as cancerous, let's hope it's just a one off and as the vet has removed it all, that will be the last you hear of it.
Sending you all hugs

dear jibby,

thank you for filling us in on paisley's status.  i am sorry to hear it was cancerous, but relieved that the doctor feels she got it all during the surgery.

i am sending big hugs your way, and hope you can breathe a sigh of relief for the time being.  hopefully this will not be something you will need to deal with again, but it is good to keep a watchful eye.

blessings and love to you,
binx
