Something in the air around here!?!

Hey everyone!  So, after reading through all the posts on here over the last week or so, I've decided that something MUST be in the air.  It seems that everyone is having problems with new symptoms or old symptoms getting worse, etc.  Is it the weather?

I know in this area, Wisconsin, it's been fairly hot over the last few weeks.  Up until a few weeks ago, it was still spring.  The temperature would hit 65 if we were lucky.  Then, BAM!  It's been in the mid-80's to low 90's for like 2 weeks now and no rain.  Is it like this anywhere else in the country?  (or overseas, for that matter?)

Anyways, I am thinking that this is why I am having problems for the last week and a half.  I have just been almost unable to function.  Really dizzy when outside.  I have been having A LOT of difficulty swallowing.  I've had this before, but not this bad or frequent.  I'm worried that I'm going to lose a lot of weight again.  Last time I had a flare, I lost close to 30 pounds, which was nice, but I can't afford to lose anymore.  I never really gained any of it back.

I've also been having increasing cognitive problems this week.  I just can't seem to find the right words to say.  I'll be talking and I'll say something completely off-the-wall, lol!  I don't catch it at all, it's always pointed out to me.  Or I'll be thinking of something, I can picture it in my head, but just can't think of what it's called!  Lol, I have to laugh about it cuz I'm only 30 and I'm already losing my mind ;-)  I could go on, but that's enough yammering for now!

Anyways, I just wanted to throw this out there.  It seems like a lot of people around here are having problems lately.  Anyone else with new or worsening symptoms?

(((Big Hugs to everyone)))

I cant leave the house. I really want to move to Wshington or Oregon, even northern cali. I nned a cooler climate or maybe a plastic bubble lol.

Guess the only thing that crosses my mind is that these things (humidity, rain, etc) don't effect other people. In fact we are a minority. Maybe that is a starting point for us... this difference. Maybe (and thanks to you for starting this dialog) ... maybe we should count the things that make us different ... from them. ;)

dear sarah,

you're right--a lot of us seem to be flaring right now, and i have been having more symptoms for the past 6-8 weeks or so myself.  i think i may have mentioned this before, but t i live in a primarily foggy area in northern california, so we generally don't have huge swings in temperature.  i can't necessarily attribute my flare up to the heat, but we have had warmer weather since the onset of spring.  maybe it is just the seasonal change, even though it is not so dramatic here, that has triggered things.

last weekend i went to visit my mom who lives inland and it was in the 90s.  it really hit me like a ton of bricks and after taking a short walk with my brother to the farmer's market, my feet were scorching hot, and my soles were bright red red and puffy.  i had to dip them in the pool and then put them on an ice pack to get them to calm down.  it was crazy.  the thought of having to live in that heat scares me.  i was so grateful when we came home and it was about 20 degrees cooler.

i hope you get some relief from your current flare up and find ways to stay cool.  is it unusual for you to have such high temperatures without any rain in the summer?  i spent my childhood in new england and remember those oppressive summer days, just waiting for the thunderstorms to come through and give us a break.

at any rate, please take good care of yourself and thank you for the hugs!

here are some right back at you (((((((hugs)))))))!

blessings to you,
binx
