Boyfriend is addicted to masturbation
My boyfriend and I are both 20 years old. We have sex often but he has a hard time staying up. He gets soft after a few minutes. We're both physically fit and attractive. We also try new exciting things often. It's been happening more and more that he can't stay up. It makes me feel insecure. He came out to me and confessed the reason he can't stay up if that he masturbates so often and for so many years. He can't stop no matter how hard he tries. He said it's a problem. I don't know what to do. I know masturbation is normal, I don't mind that he does it. But when it effects us in our sex life, that's a problem to me. Please help.
I sympathize with your situation. It would seem that the real thing with a partner would be better than masturbation with porn. At least he recognizes that it is a problem. This is largely his challenge, since he will have to change his behavior and stop his excessive masturbation with porn. Perhaps you both could conduct sexual activities in the morning, before he has a chance to masturbate during the day or evening, before he uses up most of his sexual energy. Once he is sexually active early in the day, maybe masturbating later will not have as much attraction for him.
