Can You Get A UTI from Masturbating?

Whenever I masturbate, i use Cetaphil skin cream. It's been serving me well for years. Recently however, my supply ran dry, and had to resort to using sun tan lotion. As time has gone by, I've noticed that it now stings to pee, and there has been a burning sensation in my penis. Theres also tenderness in my lower abdomen when i push down on it, and it feels like my bladder is tense, almost like a bladder infection. Is it possible that the sun tan lotion could have caused an infection?

It may just be coincidental that this started around the same time as you started using the suntan lotion.  However it could be that you have a reaction to the suntan cream.  It does sound like a UTI though which you will need antibiotics for, you don't need to tell the Dr about the suntan lotion, all the Dr will want to know is your symptoms in order to prescribe to you.  I'd advise that you get a lubricant such as KY jelly rather than using creams which contain perfumes etc which can cause irriation.

It is possible that you do have a urinary tract infection... the burning sensation when you're voiding; plus the abdominal (pelvic?) sensitivity makes me think that. Have you noticed a foul smell or odd odor coming from your urine? Does the urine appear to be cloudy or strange in color? Because those could also be symptoms of UTI.
Anyway, if it's an infection, it's usually easily treated with antibiotics. Of course, you'll have to be seen by a doctor in order to get a prescription. Some people get relief from drinking cranberry juice... supposedly, the acidity helps flush out and cleanse the urinary tract. In any case, I would recommend that you stop using the sun tan lotion... it's neither formulated nor designed to be used in the manner in which you described. And, in the future, you may want to consider using a lubricant that is designed for sexual pleasure.
