Fordyce Spots aroung Vaginal Opening?

Hi,
I have been in a monogamous relationship for 4 years now, and we have only ever slept with each other, also I'm positive that we have not been cheating on each other!
I noticed today when I was inspecting my vagina that I have a few shiny spots around the opening of my vagina, on the skin beneath the hole basically, and they're also on the labia majora, but in larger quantities. They are shiny, skin coloured, flat, and they don't hurt or itch. I googled it and I thought perhaps they could be fordyce spots. So I was wondering whether it is possible to get fordyce spots around this area, especially the vaginal opening?

Thanks a lot for your reply! :) I'm pretty sure that's what they are, as they don't look or feel uncomfortable, but I'll be sure to ask about them during my next check up.

Yes, it's very possible to get these spots around the vaginal opening. They are not sexually transmitted and they are common in many people.
I would recommend seeing a gynecologist to have them looked at to make sure they are indeed fordyce spots. Every women that is of child bearing age should have a gynecologist and have a check up once a year.
If this is what they are, you have nothing to worry about.
