Growing up *****

Kay so, I'm a 15 year old female, and have been have the "urges" since a week before Christmas.
So, it went away for a while, as in, I didn't dream about it or have any real urges, but since Sunday... I've been having dreams about masturbation, and then like.. almost right after the dream I wake up. I was wondering... is it possible to masturbate in your sleep? Do you always make... noises and groan and stuff when you do it?
Also, masturbation and what not REALLY bothers me. I don't know why, but I just think its... really gross :\
Please don't tell me that "oh stop worrying, its fine, masturbate" because I DON'T WANT TO. And I'm too stubborn to do it anyways ;D so HA.
ANYWAYS, yeah, if I DO masturbate in my sleep, how can I tell? and if I come to terms with it, will it go away? Will I stop having dreams about it and NOT do it in my sleep? or at least NOT AS FREQUENTLY, like, GOD, LEAVE ME ALONE. >;[
I hate growing up.
OH YEAH!
Also, when I was a kid, I never really did it. Well like, I DID, cause you know, self exploration? I never did it cause it felt good though :\ I was just curious.

Anyways, help would be very much appreciated ;] thanks~

I am so glad somebody else out there is grossed out by all this. I'm 21, and I am still grossed out! The best way for me is to distract myself. Watch a funny cartoon movie, or read an interesting book(preferably with no sexual scenes, lol!). Trying NOT to think about it will only MAKE you think about it. It's perfectly normal, don't think of it as a taboo. But it would ease your discomfort if you distract yourself. Hang out with a bunch of friends, that always helps me. :)
I'm pretty puritanical in my beliefs, so I think of it this way- it's normal, natural, but better left for when it is time. You can't control your body but you can control what you do with it .:)

I can't believe no one supports your views,
sex is everywhere in the media and it's such a powerful urge and it may seem impossible, so most everyone says, Just do it
while I have (as we all do) urges, and I have also masturbated, I do not want to also
beside prayer I do my best to not think about it, and I also feel bad if I do
but if I was of the opinion as others are "just do it" (which I can't imagine thinking that way) but the urge would control me, and I prefer to do my best to control my urges

and about the dreams, yea they happen, part of the inner struggle between your mind, body and spirit

It is possible to do a lot of things in your sleep. I once had a patient that was taking sleep medications and she actually had sex while she was sleeping. She woke the next day and didn't remember a thing (her husband did, though!).
You're 15. Your body is changing and hormones are becoming more abundant. The sex dreams are normal at your age. Hell, they're normal for anyone, no matter what age. If it's bothering you that much, wear pants and underwear to bed. knot the pants and see if that has any affect on what's going on.
I hope everything works out.

your not masturbating in your sleep sometimes dreams can seem real which makes your brain think its real too so your brain sends signals to your parts telling it is really happening. thats what dreams are for doing things in your dreams that you wouldn't do in life. you probably are thinking about it alot which is why your dreaming of it. relax although a groan or two could come out of your mouth while your asleep thats just part of you that is reacting to your dream. but it will be more like heavy breathing rather than groans. your  not the only girl in the world that thinks masturbation is gross just sometimes it happens, do it when you want, not just because its "normal". your 15 so your still young just dont look down on yourself for doing it. you have a choose to do anything you want. if you dont want to masturbate than dont be glad you dream about it so that it makes life easier not doing it. i bet if you did you wouldn't dream about it.

I'm sorry to say, but I just.. can't bring myself to do it. I tried it once and cried afterwords cause it really went against the way I think.
Thanks for your input, though (:

That's just it, you are growing up & becoming a woman.  As you get older you will start to feel more interested in sexual exploration it is completely natural and normal.  There's really not a lot you can do about growing up & it's best to come to terms with the fact that you have no choice about it, so why not embrace it??  After all, it's really not such a bad thing, growing up is fun, we can do more fun things.

As for masturbating in your sleep.  I think it is quite possible, although if you are dreaming about it it is most likely that even if you are touching your clitoris that you are NOT making any noise as I'm sure you are worried that someone might hear you.  I very much do doubt that.  I'm all grown up now, however I had the same "urges" as you're having when I was your age & yes it did bother me a bit & I also found the whole idea of masturbating & even sex gross.  Your dreams.... do you dream about other people in them, like boys or girls & engaging in sexual acts with them?  You don't have to answer, just think about it yourself if you like.  This is sooo normal, it happens to every teen it's just that your friends don't talk about or aren't worried about it.  I promise you 99.99% of people masturbate & most start in the mid teens.  Slightly, but only slightly less women.  Also I think that even if you "come to terms with it" that you will not stop thinking about sexual experiences - simply as I said you cannot stop growing up!!!  It's really that simple.  Perhaps you just feel that your body is moving too fast for your mind - but I'm sure your mind will catch up!

I started masturbating when i was about 13, a few nights a week just using my finger, just because it felt nice.  I didn't tell anyone about it of course as I was a bit embarrassed & confused.  Masturbating cannot do you any harm at all.  After it is simply just touching & exploring your own body. It didn't mean I was going to turn into a sex maniac or anything like that just coz I got urges at 13.  I remained a virgin until 20.  I found as I got older the whole idea of sex just got more & more normal.

How do you feel about the thought of sex?  Does this also gross you out.  If so it's the whole sexual experience that's bothering you & that's ok too, I'm sure many young teens feel the same way when they start thinking about having sex.  Mixed emotions.

I think you should try not to worry about it so much & just try to go with the flow.  Understand that it is sooo very normal what you're feeling.  Your body is just that, yours & you should feel comfortable with it, if you dont its something to try to work on.  I promise you, masturbation is not gross it is simply touching yourself in a way that makes you feel good.  We try to please ourselves all the time in many ways, so why is pleasing ourselves by touching ourselves in places that feel good to be touched gross?? If you can bring yourself to it, when you're reading I suggest you having a go at it & just see if you like it.  Be open minded.

I hope that helps even if it's not really what you wanted to hear.
