How did my girlfriend get gonnoreah?

I am 15, a regular highschool student. My girlfriend of about one year tells me she is showing signs of gonnoreah. We are sexually active, we have had protected sex several times as well as oral (with no protection). For both of us this is our first time being sexually active with somebody so there seems to be no way one of us could have a sti. So is it possible for gonnoreah to simply develop on it's own? I have not cheated on her at all, so does this mean she possibly cheated on me? what else could it be? Please answer asap.

There is NO way that gonorrhea can "develop on its own." I hate to tell you this, but she has been having sexual contact with someone or something (sex toy, etc) that is infected. It's far more likely that it's due to contact with someone else.

What else could it be? Far too many things to list on here. The only way to know for sure is to see a doctor for an STD screen. I would highly recommend getting yourself tested and ending that relationship. Should you have contracted it as well, treatment is very simple. Also, do not have sexual contact with her until she has been tested and/or treated.
