I have a full erection, so why can't I ejaculate?

I am a U.S. Marine Veteran of the OIF2 war. I was diagnosed with PTSD. I'm 42yrs, 6'-7", 267lbs. I don't smoke, have a couple of mixed drinks occasionally. I have an addiction to coke (2 liter) plus a day. I take venlafaxine and Ambien for the PTSD. I went to the Dr about having no libido, getting and keeping an erection, and not being able to ejaculate. He has since prescribed me Viagra. Two nights ago, as well as tonight, I had amazing sex. Im able to get and maintain an erection! However, I still was not able to ejaculate. Even before the Viagra, i feel like the turning point is about 3, 4 mins into having fun, when my chest gets this rushing icy hot feeling inside from the outsides of my chest cavity, to the center of my sternum and my soleplex. My pulse races, my heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest. I just get SO EXCITED about having sex!!! The icy hot feeling goes away after about 20 seconds, but my heart rate and pulse stay elevated. After having sex for 30mins, still can't ejaculate. So maddening and frustrating. Any idea what's going on or how to pop the cork? Thank you!

Sorry to hear if your difficulties, but thank you for your service. One of venlafaxine’s side effects is anorgasmia, I.e., it inhibits orgasm. So it could well be that effect which is preventing you from ejaculating. Here another thought - are you able to achieve orgasm/ ejaculation from masturbatuon? Some guys have no trouble with that but are unable to ‘rejease’ during intercourse. In that case, it’s a bit like performance anxiety, you focus so much on your own ‘performance’ that it takes away from the actual physical pleasure. Also I found myself with that problem if I tried to hold out too long before cumming, and after awhile, although I still felt turned on & maintained erection, I got kind of numb & just couldn’t feel much. So the answer may depend on whether this is only happening during intercourse, or if it’s the same either way. If it happens during both, it may be the drug side effect. Good luck, hope you find a solution..
