I tried penetration and haven't been horny since, is this normal?

So, about my usual masturbation habits. I usually masturbate about once a day, and I mainly just rut with a fantasy involved. Usually laying down on the bed, occasionally the floor or the couch.
But Friday night (I think), I decided to have a sexy bath. It was the first time I tried it, and it was also the first time I tried penetration, both vaginal and anal. I didn't have a dildo or anything like that, so I used the handle of a hairbrush, which wasn't very satisfying, it was too hard and not at all what I'd an imagine a real penis would feel like. But I did eventually get off. My legs were limp and weak, and I was really relaxed, like usual.

It's Sunday night as I'm writing this, and I hadn't felt hardly any horniness since, a passing thought here or there. I tried a lot of new things, and I have to wonder if that's why. I wonder if most people go through this the first time they penetrate themselves, if it's a permanent thing, or if this decreased libido is gonna wear off. Is this normal, or could it be a health condition? I like being horny, and I want to get back in the groove of things, but maybe it's a good thing? I don't know, can someone help me here?

Yeah, I totally agree with what Bonzo said. A hairbrush is not at all like the real thing, and maybe instead start with your fingers and work up to a more realistic toy, if you can get one.

Give yourself some time, don't panic - your desire isn't formed in your vagina. It starts in your brain. I'm sure you'll feel back to normal in a few days, give or take. :)

I'm thinking maybe it's just because your experience w/ penetration was disappointing & not what you expected. I've had that experience with different things in life - meaning, I wanted to try something new (not necessarily sexual - it could be a new activity of some kind) & if the experience wasn't what I expected, I just kind of lost interest in that activity or maybe even in trying a different (but similar) new activity. Give it a little time - I don't think anything 'physical' you did will interfere w/ your libido long-term, I think it's just a temporary 'damping' of desires due to a disappointing experience. In the future, you might want to try other forms of penetration that more closely resemble a penis - maybe you can acquire a realistic 'penis'-like dildo that's fairly rigid but somewhat 'softer' & a little more like a real penis, and of course, you may want to use some type of lubrication so you don't irritate yourself. In the meantime, just continue to use whatever other forms of stimulation have worked for you in the past - there's no right or wrong way to masturbate (for guys OR girls) as long as you're not doing something physically harmful...
