I'm 20 with no sex drive, what is wrong with me?

I'm 20 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 2 years. I love him dearly but for the past 3 months or so I've had absolutely NO desire for sex. I've had this happen before with a previous boyfriend and I found out that I just didn't find him attractive anymore...however, this is not the case with my boyfriend now. I'm a student and I work a lot during the week, which causes a lot of stress, but winter break is upon us and I still don't feel the want or need for sex. My boyfriend is getting frustrated and he tells me all the time that he'll be super patient. I'm on birth control but have been for about 4 years now so I don't know why it would start to act against me now. I just have no desire and I don't know what to do before it ruins my relationship. Please help.

In my opinion:

It's not the work that's taking away you're mood, my intuition tells me this...

1) When was the last time yall had great sex, including you reach orgasm?

2) When was the last time you masturbated? And are you doing more than once in a day? And how many days are going before you masturbate again?

3) How much time do yall spend with foreplay? What exactly foreplay do you do? Is what being done thru foreplay turns you on? What would turn you on if its not already not being done?

4) Is switching BC an option? What about using a lambskin condom? (much better than a latex condom)

I'm on the BC called Gianvi and I don't really masterbate all that often...I have experienced some pain with sex in the past but he bought some lubricant to help with that. I've always just chalked this problem up to stress because I DO overwork myself. But I'm done with school and not working so much so I just don't know.

Oh, 1 more...

3) I don't know your sexual history between you and your boyfriend but if the two of yall been experiencing a lot of bad foreplay and sex, that could bring your mood down as well. It's like your mind is asking you "Why should I get you hot and wet for sex if I know the sex won't be great anyway"

So,if yall sex life is great, you can ignore option #3.

Let me know... I would like to help as much as possible. I want you to enjoy your sex life with your man.

Hi.

In my opinion, it could be one of the (2) issues:

1) 4 years of BC is enough time for the medicine to fully take over your body. For example, the first time I smoke a cigarette it made me feel super high. But after smoking them for a long time, I no longer get that same high. And that's because my body is immune to the cigarette. So what I'm saying is your body is probably immune to that particular BC. What kind is it? If it's depoprevera, you need to get off that stuff...

2) If you're into masturbation, you could be keeping your sex drive down, your hormone levels down. PLUS, the birth control could be contributing to the low sex drive, making it hard for you to feel horny and ready for sex after achieving an orgasm thru masturbation. So if you're masturbating a lot, you need to leave that alone for a while, like 2 weeks, so your mind/body can feel fresh and new.
