No sex dating a year

Hi there,

My name is Lori i'm 33 and he is 39, been seeing my boyfriend for 1 yr. This includes getting to know each other and actual dating. He is very good to me and my 2 kids, very loving and caring, takes good care of us. But when it comes to sex or any physical stuff he says he feels nothing.
Example..... Tonight was laying with my head on his chest and felt very deeply in love and feel right to sleep, i felt his heart racing before I fell asleep. We talked about it later and he said he felt nothing, no heart racing also says he feels nothing with kissing either. He did say hes only had a few girlfriends. He never dated much.
( little back note.... he was in a car accident about 5 yrs ago and had brain trauma that caused swelling on the brain and coma for 9 months)
When it comes to sex he just does not feel the mood, he has had a tooth ache for like 6 months he says that is why but he said he just dont feel urge to have sex.

I dont want to leave him but dont know what to do, im so in love that i know if i walk away i would regret it. He is the perfect family man and we have the best of time when we are together. He also does little things for me or the kids, gifts just because, roses for me, nice dinners out, helping my family with moving, you know boyfriend like activities.

Please give me some advice, what is most important to me is my family life since I am a single mom to a 10 yr old and 3 yr old that adore him and he loves them. But the rejection of not feeling wanted sexually is killing me. I really feel like I needed to make love with him,

Here's the deal: some people just don't have a sex drive.  Your bf probably lost his due to the extreme trauma of his accident.  Do not blame yourself.  He is doing everything else right.  I say, learn how to masturbate, and invite him to sit with you while you do it, and maybe he will rise to the occasion.  Maybe not.  Enjoy what physical attention he is willing to give you, if only a hug.

His toothache needs to be taken care off.  I know dental work is expensive, but an infection in the mouth damages the heart and really makes you feel run down.  He would feel so much better if he would get his mouth taken care of.

Maybe he has lost his erections.  This can be caused by diabetes, vascular problems, thyroid problems, and even brain injury.  He should have a physical to rule out problems.  Smoking causes a loss of erections by damaging the vascular system.  L-arginine is a supplement that can improve blood flow.

He may feel this way because of the accident. I would also recommend talking to him about seeing a Dr to have some testing done. Men as young as their 30's can be low on testosterone and that can cause them to have no sex drive.
