Period Crisis!!!

I've posted a question on here before and never got a response so I hope someone replies this time.

I started my period later this week on Tuesday and everything seemed ok. I put a tampon in and everything was good to go. On Wednesday when I was in the bathroom I took out my tampon, urinated, and wiped, and on the toilet paper was this weird sack looking thing. It was brownish and had some blood clots on it, but was defiantly not normal.  I have no clue what it was and that has never happened to me before. It kind of freaked me out but I just proceeded with my usual stuff. The next morning I did took out my tampon and there was another sack thing but on the tip of my tampon, it was about half the size of the other one, and looked way more brown and didn't have any blood clots on it or anything. I have no clue what this is, and need to know what I should do.

I am on Ortho Evra, and missed my patch earlier in the month, but everything got back to  normal. Can someone help me please

Hum, it's possible to just your body expel left over from your period ending Saturday, but it's just very light spotting, nothing to be concern about, but 4 days of new non stop spotting is of concern. It could be anything for hormone imbalance, stress, but we do experience several irregular periods throughout the year. I would just wait and see, unless you begin to have heavy bleeding like a new period. It can be early signs of premenapause. I would just wait a few more day's and see where it leads or contact your gyne for advice. Judy

I think your going to be just fine. Live and learn to always practice safe sex and he is to use a condom no matter how much the tempation is to go natural. The consequences will be of a life time. :)

Then, if this kind of thing has happened to other people, then I am not going to worry about it. Because I went through my cycle just fine. And I didn't "over-bleeed" or anything like that. I think I am ok, Thank you so much for your help.

I am not a physician, but share similar experience. I am assuming you have had unprotected sex. The only way to find out if you are pregnant is by going to a drug store and purchasing a pregnancy test or I recommend that you seek another gynecologist  (there are other gyne's that can give you a pregnancy test and insurance will cover. It does not have to be the same Gyne) to ask the questions that concern you and have a pregnancy test also. If you are discharging and close to your normal period, then to be honest, I wouldn't worry about it. Also, once you finish your menstral cycle, it is normal to ocassionally discharge afterwards. It is the body's way of cleaning it's self. When we menstrate, the body prepare's itself for pregnancy, and if we are not, all the inner fluid, mucus lining will come out. If the test came out negative, you are not pregnant, so just calm down and let your natural body fluid expel from you and you will be just fine.

Thank you. Also I had my period and everything, I just finished my period last night. I am producing fluids and everything like normal. This is the only boyfriend/ guy I have ever had sex with without a condom. But I have always been on birth control. There was just that one time my birth control got all messed up. I only see him once a month or so but about a week after my birth control was all messed up and I had another patch on and everything (two weeks after my period) we had sex with a condom. (Both hated it) and then did it without. He never ever ever has pre came before and he didn't come inside of me so I really wasn't worried about it untill that "thing" came out of my vagina. We are both really dedicated to eachother and we dont' have to worry about STD's or HIV. :) Thank you so much for your help and concern though.

Also, if you have had unprotected sex, during your ovulation period, then I would be concern of possible pregnancy, BUT if you are discharging fluid, that is a sign that your period is right around the corner. Please make sure that if you are sexually active, that you both are practicing safe sex to avoid an unwanted pregnancy, STD's, HIV or just the stress and fear of the "what if's". Good Luck, Judy

It was like a small muscle. So does that mean based off of what you are saying, that I am pregnant? Or just that can happen at any time. If I was pregnant It would only be like 4 weeks. cuase thats when the whole mess up with my patch happened. I really don't think that I am becuase I went though the rest of my period just fine. But I'm not completly sure. I took 2 pregnancy tests 2 days before my period and they were both negative.

Do not panic or freak out, because yes, it is normal to ocasionally experience what seems to look like redish/brownish small clots discharge!  It comes from the walls of your uterus and if not pregnant, this will come out in the form of mucus with blood, which come in the form of small clots, but it's not dangerous or anything like that. It's mucus that if pregnant would have had a purpose, but since you are not pregnant, discharge, feel slimy and a few clots, but nothing to worry about. I use to get them all the time! I would experience very lite pinkish fluid, with a few small or on good size blood clot or have normal flow period. If you are concern, contact a gyne and ask the question over the phone and the gyne can inform you if he/she feels it is necessary to come in for an exam, so rest easy, let it pass, if you are concern then contact your gyne for a check up. Good luck, Judy

I have an appointment in march, and I can't go before that cuase my insurance company doesn't cover it. I am concerned and don't want the possibility of me being pregnant to be there. I just need to know if this sort of thing has happened to anyone else or anything like that. I told myself I wouldn't freak out about it but really....something weird came out of my vagina, I'm allowed to freak out a little bit. RIGHT?

If this is not normal I would advise a trip to your GYN to have them look at you.  This maybe nothing at all but its better to have their expert thoughts on it.  This is your health and anything of concern should have them look at.  Plus they know your body a lot better then we on a forum do.
