Probability of Pregnancy
Alright I have looked into it and did a little research and was wondering if my girlfriend used the Today Sponge while intercoarse and the next day she took the Plan B oral contraceptive what are the chances of us conceveing a child. would that be as safe as a condom? I was just wondering if we did that while she was not ovulating or maybe the first couple of days she was is there a chance she could get pregnant if we used two methods of birth control? Would we have to use protection if she is not ovulating?

When used correctly, the sponge is about 90% effective. Plan B is about 99% effective when taken within 12 hours of unprotected intercourse. Thus, the probability both birth control methods would fail is about .001%. Statistically, there is about a 99.999% chance that your gf will not get pregnant. It's up to you to decide how bad your luck is.
