urethritis/ glans rash

So, I've had 58 days of urethritis and a small red rash from the tip of my urethra to the top portion of my glans. It isn't itchy or scaly or painful. Just very sensitive(almost as if i just had an orgasm)
I had a brief unprotected encounter and 3 days later the symptoms began. We both got tested and results were negative for us for any sti. My doc thought maybe it was a less common bacteria and began me on the following in order: azrithromycin 1gm, doxycycline 14 days, flagyl, cipro. Nothing helped. He gave me an antifungal afterwards. Then he gave me moxifloxacin for 10 days. Again got tested after antibiotics were out of my system for 14 days, and everything negative.
In the meantime, penis is very sensitive still almost two months later. Rash is the same. Saw 3 dermatologists, one thinks penile psoriasis, one thinks nothing, one thinks dermatitis....lovely. 3 total urologists, two think prostatitis caused my possible mycoplasma type bacteria. Have seen 3 internists-they all do not know. Any idea's?? It literally started 3 days after the encounter and is physically there to see. All panels negative. Took a ton of meds. No help. Anyone please?

Your situation doesn't sound too dissimilar to mine. Unprotected sex with a random girl, stinging on glans initially a day or so later. Settled down and then flared up. Got tested for everything and would up having my cool as a genitalium. Tried azithromycin but that failed. Just finished a course of a velox or modi. Seems to have done the job. I seem to have some blotchy colouring on my glans now and redness around uterthra. Going to get a referral to a urologist now. Its very sensitive on my underwear at times. Initially thought I'd got a fungal rash on the glans but I'm told its unlikely. How are you going these days? Problem solved?

I have gone to the clinic 2 times. They are not too helpful. They typically have a few "standard" tests and nothing more. Also typically nurse practitioners but no Doctors. Here in the US, it isn't nearly as advanced as I've read about the UK and Europe. I've told the clinic my situation and they just want to re-prescribe doxycycline and see what happens. I've already taken it 14 days with no improvement. What are common stds missed?? Ureaplasma and mycoplasma genitalium?

Hi There, Have you thought of going to a STD/GUM Clinic, this may just be the place to go, seeing as your having so much trouble, you may find the staff really helpful to your problem, but keep this in the back of your mind that there a couple of STDs that can stay hidden from tests.
Do hope this helps.
Good Luck
