Could the spot on my scalp still be skin cancer if it has not changed in 2 years?

I had a brown spot on my scalp around March 2019. But then I had checked later and couldn’t find it and thought it was gone. I just now (April 2021) saw it again and if it has changed it hasn’t been much. I am going to get it checked out but do you think it’s possible it’s skin cancer if it hasn’t changed? (Asymmetrical border and not consistent color. Less than dime I think but bigger than pencil eraser. Thank you!
