Eczma or Melanoma?

A couple of days ago I noticed that one particular spot on my left shin itchy.  As I have very dry skin, I paid it little mind.  Yesterday it was a lot worse and when I looked at it, I noticed it was red in the area where I had been scratching but I still paid it little mind due to my dry skin.  This morning when I was showering I noticed that now the spot was a reddish purple color, about the size of a dime and it surrounded three pimple looking bumps.  Needless to say I was quite freaked out about how it looked.  I have managed to control the itching with an ointment that had been prescribed for me at one other time, but the lumps are still there and it is still red and purple in color.  Oh, and it is a little tender to the touch.  Any ideas on what it might be?  I have an appointment with my regular dermatologist this week, I guess I am just looking to see what others might think.

Dear Karen,
I have eczma and my dermatologist recommended DML. During your next visit with your dermatologist ask him/her about this amazing product. DML is a moisturizing product that helps eczma and dry skin within minutes. It doesn't cost a fortune and the dermatologist should have it behind the desk at the office. I hope this helps and I will give a description of eczma below the paragraph.

Eczma: Is a skin problem that involves bumps which are much like pimples. It is most common on leg's,arm's,and face.

From your description it does not sound at all like melanoma. It is most likely some irritation or bug bite. Good luck with the dermatologist.
