Reactions from Using a BiPAP Machine

I have an Interstitial Lung Disease. (Hope I spelled that right). I used a CPAP machine for a short time and then it was changed to a Bi PAP machine. I have only had the Bi PAP 2 nights. Night One- I woke at 3:30 am with a very sore throat and the pressure from the machine was making my throat burn, so I had to take it off. Night Two- I woke up at 2:00 am (last night) with uncontrollable sneezing. The amount of stuff I was blowing out of my nose was ridiculous! I was very congested in my nose and head and it has not stopped. Am I having an allergic reaction to something? Or is this something else? Not sure what to do. I also have a pressure headache!

Thank you for answering. The problem has been resolved! The humidifier was off and needed to be on! Thank you again and Happy Holidays!

It sounds like your new settings are somehow irritating your nose and throat. Are years of having a leak of an kind? Air leaking out through the mouth will give you a sore throat. If your nose doesn't settle down within the next few days to weeks, then talk to your DME vendor or sleep doctor for other options.
