What is it?

Well, I don't know about sleep apnea, but I know that my friend has pretty bad dreams. She has been getting headaches almost every day for the past couple of weeks, and she says they are getting worse. The headaches usually stay on the right side of her head. She says it feels like someone is hitting her with a rock. She has a raspy cough and when she holds out her hands they shake. Sometimes she feels nausious when she lays down. She always sleeps right through dinner, and no matter how much sleep she gets, she still feels tired. I don't know if I'm doing this website right, but I don't know what else to do. My question is; Do you know what sickness she has?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Annolise,

The first thing your friend should do is to see her medical doctor and undergo a complete medical evaluation. There are so many conditions that can possibly cause her symptoms, it's a bit premature to say she has obstructive sleep apnea. Once everything has been ruled out she may wish to consider a sleep medicine evaluation.

That's something I would love to know more about as well. All of my life, since the 1st grade I have suffered from daily headaches, I always had problems with staying tired everday all day. Weight could be an issue for me but I didn't always have this weight. I've had MRI's and CAT scans done and no one can find anything. It's very frustrating...it's even frustrating trying to find something to stop the headaches.
But I hope you get an answer for your friend soon!.
