thank you very much for the info dr park, but why does this happen at a specfic amount of time like 30 mins to 1 hr after i sleep.. is it because that when my muscles begin to relax...
Hello, this is almost exactly what I experience. I will jump out of my bed and subconsciously walk across the room, turn on a light, and I am only barely aware. But as soon as I wake up, the racing heart slows down and I recall the event as in I felt as if I were dying or something very seriously wrong. But once I wake up good, it all goes completely away. Like you I though I had OSA and my doctor thought maybe so too but I had a sleep study and I did not have it. I look forward to the doctors answer, also. Oh, and I don't know why it happens so shortly after falling asleep...usually about 30 mins to an hour for me as well. Do you have anxiety issues while awake?
Yes, an apnea can cause a severe panic attack, causing you to wake up suddenly in a state of panic. Sometimes, the confusion that happens from the arousal can make you sleepwalk, talk or eat.
