8 month old with myoclonus sleep jerks?

My 8 month old girl suddenly developed muscle jerks/spasms at I months whenever drowsy but will also wake in the dead of night at least twice per night upset because of her body jerkinging in little clusters. I am hopeful it will stop as she gets a little older but worried because neonatal sleep myoclonus usually presents from birth and clears up by 6 months. Can anyone with adult sleep myoclonus let me know about the beginning / start of their condition, or anyone out there have a baby that had this happen give me more info. Been to her pediatrician twice I don't think he has experience with this.

I second that. There is a sleep disorder called periodic limb movement disorder or restless leg syndrome. The jerking is more plms while restless leg is the urge to move. I'd Get an opinion from a sleep specialist.

If you're not satisfied with the answers from your pediatrician ask for a referral to an MD who specializes in pediatric sleep disorders.
