Am being trapped in nightmares

I have been having these nightmares ever since I was 13,am now 21.I can't wake up easily because something keeps pulling me back. And when I do,ii can't sleep again there and then because the nightmare continues from where it stopped.

It's OK, because this proves you are sleeping and getting the benefits of sleep -- regardless of the content of your dreams, even if disturbing.  Remember, they're only dreams and cannot hurt you.  The dream may be a way for you to process past trauma, so it is a healthy thing.  It's OK to let it go and let yourself sleep.

Everyone dreams every night although most of us can't remember them the next day.
