After years & years of suffering from insomnia, I found a sleep disorder doctor who told me that what I really needed was to get a minimum of 25 min exposure to bright sunlight every morning (no sunglasses on) prior to 9 or 10AM (and this depends on your work/sleep hours though) Then my body can make a neurochemical substance called melatonin
and THIS IS WHAT CURES MY INSOMNIA!! My brother lived in a city like Seattle where there are long, long times
of rainy cloudy weather and NO bright light whatsoever. A lightbox can help if this is the case. If you enter LIGHTBOX in Google or any other search engine & you will find a host of companies who make & sell these devices & it should not cost more than $150. MY dear fellow insomnia sufferers - this actually cured my insomnia, my results have been just absolutely fantastic!! I can actually get decent REM sleep now. Of course I also have other sleep disorder issues that are a real problem, but at least this takes care of the insomnia part. Good luck to all.
